About our teachers

Learn from the best

Danielle D'Anna began her dance training at the age of two and a half with MaryLou Peters. Her dance background includes student and proficiency in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Hip-Hop, Break Dancing, Lyrical, Laban, Choreography, Modern/Contemporary, Dance Team/Poms, and Musical Theatre. She has been teaching and choreographing for more than 15 years all over the East Coast. She has danced on the University of Maryland Dance team and with artists such as Jermaine Dupri, Little Bow Wow, Christina Millan, and Da Brat. She has taken and continues to take Master Workshop Classes from Savion Glover, Mia Michaels, Tap Dog Company Members, Bob Rizzo, Rennie Harris, Debbie Dee, Rhonda Miller, Frank Hatchett, Sheila Barker, Sean Curran, Greg Russell, Luam, Jared Grimes and many more to stay on top of her game! Dancers trained in her classes learn PROPER technique, utilize their creativity and develop excellence in a rigorous but fun-filled experience from a teacher who truly LOVES children!

Meet Miss MEE and Miss Joelle

Miss MEE (MaryEllen Ensminger) is known for her energetic personality and love of children. She has staged an obscene amount of shows for us and has choreographed and taught the little ones for years. She is an expert in the field and we are so lucky to have her return! Little ones get ready to get spoiled! Other credits include choreography on High School shows at Magruder and Blake High Schools that have been performed all over the world. She is a graduate of University of Maryland with a degree in Interior Design. She has taken master dance classes from artists such as Savion Glover, Tap Dogs, Joe Tremaine, and many more.



Joelle Solar completed her BA in Dance from the University of MD, College Park and is pursuing her Master’s in Education specializing in Math. Miss Joelle started dancing at the age of 8 and continued through her high school years. She has studied Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip-hop, Lyrical, Laban, Modern/Contemporary, Choreography, Break Dancing, and Salsa. Joelle is known for her willingness to help her students succeed!

Miss Tia

Tia Johnson has been assisting at DDC for the past 7 years. She has taken class from Miss Danielle and MIss MEE studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Hip-Hop, Modern, Lyrical, & Contemporary Dance. She also has danced for Future Shock in the Washington D.C. area and our own DDC Elite Company. Miss Tia is known for her super fun personality that all students love.
